Preventative Maintenance Assistant – Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia

Trinity Energy Group is looking for a helpful individual to join our team.  Located in Mount Uniacke, this position is suitable for someone who considers themselves as a ‘Jack-of-all-trades’. This position’s work week will be Wednesday to Saturday.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to perform less complex repair and preventive maintenance required for Trinity Energy Group’s trucks. Use established repair shop guidelines and preventive maintenance production checklists to insure that inspections are performed in exact order.  


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Basic maintenance of fleet vehicles; this includes filter changes, general repairs, fluid top-ups, scheduling vehicle repairs, scheduling vehicle inspections, cleaning and organizing fleet vehicles, maintaining safety standards, etc.  

  • Knowledge and maintenance of generators and compressors. This includes, but is not limited to; cleaning them, fluid maintenance, filter maintenance and repairs.  

  • Warehouse assistance as needed; helping to unload trucks, general maintenance in and around warehouseassisting warehouse manager as needed with picking orders and inventory control.  

  • Property maintenance; shoveling, plowing, sanding, salting, mowing, tending to landscaping, keeping yard clean and organized. 

  • Assisting staff with day-to-day tasks. Other duties as requested.



  • Class 5 license with airbrakes endorsement. 

  • Criminal record check & child abuse registry check must be provided upon hiring. No exceptions 

  • Drivers Abstract & clean driving record must be provided upon hiring. No exceptions 

  • Own transportation to and from our Mount Uniacke office required (not on bus route). 

  • Hours may fluctuate (full-time + additional). 

→ Knowledge of small engine repair will be considered a valuable asset 

→ Basic carpentry skills will be considered a valuable asset
